Our good friends moira smiley and VOCO are coming to Santa Cruz for a performance at the Cayuga Vault on Sunday September 20th, 2009 at 6:30pm. Moira joins Molly's Revenge for performances when her busy schedule allows it and has invited a couple of the band members, David Brewer (bagpipes and whistle) and Pete Haworth (bouzouki and vocals) to open the show. Moira and VOCO were voted #1 a cappella band in the U.S. in 2007. VOCO is the energy of street singing and the elegance of a string quartet; sweet, hard-driving Americana mixed with crooked eastern European dance and dissonance; bodystompin' percussive movement; joyous, magnificent, hair-raising harmonies.
